Passport Stock Inventory Types
Standard Items
- Standard quantity based inventory
- Defined by a Stock # and tracked by Location and Quantity.
- [The same Stock # can be at multiple locations]
Batch-Lot Items *
- Containers/packages that belong to the same batch-lot-expiration date such as food, pharmaceuticals, and medications.
- Defined by a Stock # they additionally have a Batch-Lot ID # which identifies the particular batch-lot that they are part of thus allowing different batch-lots of the same stock # to exist in inventory.

Serialized Items *
- Uniquely tagged items that are quantity 1 each, such as appliances, equipment, medication vials, and chemical drums. The contents quantity of which can be entered but the contents quantity would not be changeable.
- Defined by a Stock # they additionally have a serialized ID # which identifies a specific item thus allowing many of the same stock # to exist in inventory.

Serial Items w/ Quantity *
- Uniquely tagged items that have contents quantity that will be consumed/used while in inventory, such as medication bottles with pills, chemical drums, rolls of paper, pulp, textiles, etc. with the material being used up over time.

Non-Inventory and Service Items **
- QuickBooks users benefit from the barcode-based extension that Passport Stock provides by allowing for Non-Inventory and Service items to be barcoded so the warehouse staff and field technicians can scan these items along with the other inventoried items.
