Among the 280 California State Park units, San Clemente St ate Beach is responsible for issuing supplies to six state beaches along the “Orange Coast” region of Southern California. In order for San Clemente State Beach to improve their inventory management, they sought an inventory system that could automate tasks with barcode technology.
The City of Vancouver (Wash.) Police Department (VPD), was experiencing organizational and regulatory changes. They had significant increased the number of acquisitions of both equipment and consumable inventory which needed to be tracked according to compliance requirements. VPD looked to find an asset tracking system to help them easily and quickly perform audits and physical inventory.
The logistics Branch of the Arlington County Fire Department (ACFD) was ineffectively managing often-used supplies and fire equipment with an obsolete paper and pen system. With a centralized warehouse, ten fire stations, a training center and several Marshall's offices, the organization had a lot of moving parts to track without much time on their hands.
