ASAP Systems’ Passport Gets Cutting-Edge Mobile Inventory, Assets and Property Tracking Systems

San Jose, CA (March 4, 2009)ASAP Systems today introduced its next generation, best- in-class, touch screen mobile software applications for its Passport Inventory, Assets and Property systems.  The applications are modular and can be customized within minutes by users.

With the new mobile software applications, customers can rename any of the onscreen data collection fields to meet their industry specific terminology.  This applies to the suite of available mobile software applications for inventory and equipment tracking.

“We designed our systems and user interface to meet today’s highly mobile needs and to meet current economic conditions,” said Elie Jean Touma, president and CEO of ASAP Systems, San Jose, California. “In this tough economy, we sought ways to make the system work for our customers by eliminating recurring configuration and customization costs.  We also made it easy to use so that a non-sophisticated computer user has the ability to customize the application within minutes and to obtain all the information that is needed within seconds.”

“Our goal is to give a company’s management and employees total control over their inventory and assets by providing complete turnkey tracking solutions.” Touma said. “We want people to have all of their inventory and asset management available to them, whenever or wherever, even if they only step out of the office for a few hours.”

With the look and feel of an Apple iPhone application, ASAP Systems’ mobile inventory and asset software applications run on Motorola hand-held barcode scanners.  Like its parent desktop version, the Passport mobile unit runs on industry standard Microsoft SQL Server databases and is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista.

The Passport mobile barcode scanners can upload practically unlimited amounts of data through the synchronization process.  This allows the user to authenticate inventory levels, asset locations and property on the spot.  In addition to authenticating data, the new Passport mobile software applications allow for data searches and queries on the units themselves, without having to use the desktop application.  “We call our Passport mobile software “smart” for this reason,” said Touma.

With inventory control and asset management as key features, the Passport mobile solutions will become invaluable to users. Since the desktop version integrates with popular business software such as QuickBooks and hundreds of other accounting, CRM, ERP, POS and database applications, the new Passport mobile software applications can now display, alter and manage that data.

The new Passport mobile software applications and Motorola hand-held barcode scanners are immediately available through ASAP Systems. For more information please visit:
